My Week – Week 8 & 9

Week 8 was a rather relaxed week, as I was given ten days off after just having a week off for my birthday at the beginning of the month.
Also I finally started adding some exercise to my daily routine. So far it’s only rowing but I’m enjoying it, I’ve been kept record of my distance too.

Week 9 I was back to work near the end of the week but otherwise still a good week. Saturday night was spent celebrating a colleague 30th birthday & it was nice to hang out with the girls.

& all I have for the amount of pain I’m in is a few small bruises!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I feel like I’m having a bit of a bad run health wise atm + I’m trying to stay positive about it all but it’s hard.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve had to get my Dr to chase up my specialist appointments because 6 weeks later I still haven’t gotten appointments to see them + to be frank there’s only so much pain I can take.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m extremely grateful for the support from family, friends + clients over the last month.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The main thing I’ve grateful for the most right now is my mental health for staying mostly intact while I’ve been struggling.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I'm a massive journaling fan + have loved it for years + years + years + it's been a massive part of my mindset + personal growth over the last few years but it's not been helping me really see some parts.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

But I am going to say it’s never too late to assess your goals. Do the goals you made at the beginning of the year still resonate with you or mean anything to you now?

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Since moving I’ve been flaring up a lot. It’s been hard on my body and my mental health.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Then I got my period and periods aren’t the same for everyone even when you have #endometriosis but my periods have always been awful no matter what I do or don’t do and it’s days of agony and flare ups and baths and sleeping and repeating. It can feel really frustrating when mentally your more than ok but physically your body can’t do much.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I wasn’t expecting this period for another couple of months to be honest and usually I need space and time to gear myself up physically and mentally for what’s going to happen but also so I can get things done in my business before I have to stop for a while. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But I wasn’t able to do that this time so things have been a lot slower than I would have liked and I’ve had to find a balance between the pain and rest I’ve needed and I’ve had to cancel calls and plans and reschedule lots of things but I’ve done so being much kinder to myself this time than I ever have before.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Which I feel has made a big difference to how I’ve got through this period.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Although Some of my days recently have involved 3 naps, 2 baths and I may have watched Lego Movie 2 half a dozen times but my body and mental health are thankful that I’ve been kinder to myself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Words said to me by @sophiecliff much earlier this year still deeply resonate with me.  I need to be kinder to myself. I’ve been through a lot and I’m still showing up as much as I can. I need to be kinder to myself.

Such simple words but gosh when someone else affirms it it makes a world of difference!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There’s no CTA here. I’m just sharing because maybe you need these words too, be kinder to yourself, or maybe you need to ‘see’ that not everyone has the same life, business and period and we all run and live it so differently chronic illness or not. But we’re doing the best we can in our own ways.

I’m so freaking proud of my husband 6 months with his new company and he’s received not 1 but 2 bonuses! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

He’s always a happy person, with a quick sense of humour and always wanting to make people laugh but since starting his new job it’s as though a weight has been lifted off his shoulders and he’s even more happier than he was before.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Since moving I’ve been flaring up a lot. It’s been hard on my body and my mental health.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Then I got my period and periods aren’t the same for everyone even when you have #endometriosis but my periods have always been awful no matter what I do or don’t do and it’s days of agony and flare ups and baths and sleeping and repeating. It can feel really frustrating when mentally your more than ok but physically your body can’t do much.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I wasn’t expecting this period for another couple of months to be honest and usually I need space and time to gear myself up physically and mentally for what’s going to happen but also so I can get things done in my business before I have to stop for a while. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But I wasn’t able to do that this time so things have been a lot slower than I would have liked and I’ve had to find a balance between the pain and rest I’ve needed and I’ve had to cancel calls and plans and reschedule lots of things but I’ve done so being much kinder to myself this time than I ever have before.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Which I feel has made a big difference to how I’ve got through this period.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Although Some of my days recently have involved 3 naps, 2 baths and I may have watched Lego Movie 2 half a dozen times but my body and mental health are thankful that I’ve been kinder to myself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Words said to me by @sophiecliff much earlier this year still deeply resonate with me.  I need to be kinder to myself. I’ve been through a lot and I’m still showing up as much as I can. I need to be kinder to myself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Such simple words but gosh when someone else affirms it it makes a world of difference!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There’s no CTA here. I’m just sharing because maybe you need these words too, be kinder to yourself, or maybe you need to ‘see’ that not everyone has the same life, business and period and we all run and live it so differently chronic illness or not. But we’re doing the best we can in our own ways.
