I have to say, considering how much pain I was in, in January and how shitty I felt I was not expecting February to be quite so amazing but oh gosh it was, it really was.
I turned 32 and it was a truly amazing experience after having such bad birthdays for my 30th and 31st. I had a long weekend celebration where I finally, after two years got my hair cut and had a massage. My Mum and Stepdad visited too, I got to eat some amazing food and cake and received some really wonderful gifts and if that wasn’t enough my husband then had the following week off and we did awesome things like go to Liverpool for the day.
I’m still missing my period as I was in January and I still haven’t rung my Endometriosis nurse or been to the Dr’s like I was planning to, to try and figure it all out but I’m planning on writing more about that another time because it just bums me out.
On one Friday morning, my husband and I wandered to the cinema just to see the new Black Panther film and it was so good. Have you seen it? I really enjoyed it as I wasn’t expecting to at all of course because it had been hyped up so much that I thought they had shown all the best bits but it was good and I really enjoyed the music too.
The Hitman’s Bodyguard wasn’t as good as I had hoped but it was still humorous and enjoyable.
Kingsmen 2 The Golden Circle came out on DVD and we had to watch it again, it was just as good as the first time when we got to see it on the premiere night.
I’ve been pretty addicted to Flip vs Flop and rewatching Lip Sync Battle, the American version. And season 6 of Dragons Race To The Edge on Netflix.
Also on Netflix Russell Howard Recalibrate and it makes me laugh so hard.
I’ve honestly really struggled reading this month and you wouldn’t believe how many books I’ve picked up and not gotten very far in to only to put them back down again.
Bookclub reads this month were Crushing It by Gary Vee and Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker, I have read neither of them this month so I’m a bit behind but oh well.
I have, however, read The Balance Plan by Angelique Panagos which I’ve seriously greatly enjoyed. It’s half an information book and half a recipe book and The Sugar Detox Plan which again is similar in a half and half book. I picked up both books at TK Maxx for cheaper than online.
Nearly every year one of my favourite authors writes a free novel or novella on their website which they then release as an ebook later on and I’ve been loving what they’ve written for this one already.
Anna’s Five Favourite UK City Breaks.
A New Chapter For The Everygirl.
The Mother Cookers Three Way With Sweet Potato.
I adored this post from Michelle about why she’s Not Letting Her Career Define her.
I’ve not been listening to much this February but I’ve greatly enjoyed listening again to Jen Carrington’s podcast Make It Happen. I’ve been sporadic with the way I was consuming it. Just dipping in and out, depending which episodes took my fancy.
I’ve also been listening to Smart Twenties podcast by Sam Brown. I just love anything Sam has to share to be honest, even though I’m not in my twenties I still find her insights interesting and impactful.
I’ve been in a weird place with what I’ve been wanting to share this month and have been working on what I’m really willing to share online nowadays and while I was figuring that I out I wrote a few things on Instagram.
I also wrote Why February Is One Of My Favourite Months and Four Small Goals For March.
Redesigning this blog and my business website because I’m crazy like that.
