Living is hard. Living with a chronic illness, well that’s doubly hard.

You pretty much do the same things as everybody else but you also have to manage your illness and your health too.

For many of us this can be really hard. We always end up having to sacrifice something. To the detriment to our mental health.

Most of the time the thing we sacrifice the most is our wellbeing and putting ourselves first, because it feels selfish and that we don’t deserve to be our own priority and quite frankly that’s bullshit.

You can’t fill water from an empty cup so how can you keep going and giving so much of yourself when you’re not filling yourself back up?

The answer is you can’t.

You’ll suffer burnout and/or a break down, and neither of those things are good on top of your illness.

So what can you do?

You can start putting yourself first.

You can start saying no.

You can stop feeling like you have to justify your answers and actions to others.

You can make time to add some self-care into your everyday.

Does this sound good to you?

Then you need to sign up to my 21 day self-care challenge.

21 days dedicated to spending as little as 10 minutes a day focusing on your own self-care can make a massive difference not only in your life but with your health too.

Each morning you’ll receive an email directly in your inbox with a self-care challenge you can do any time of the day, or night.

You’ll also gain access to Chronically Confident. A free Facebook group for women with chronic illness to connect and thrive.

Within the first week you’ll start to notice a difference. You’ll also be able to keep track of which acts of self-care really work for you, so when the challenge is over you’ll have your own list of self-care acts that will help you.

Are you ready to start putting yourself first and overhaul your self-care?
